###- HapMap SNPs to be genotyped -### These are dbSNP reference SNP clusters, or unique SNPs, mapped to the human genome assembly (build31 as of Jan'03) and selected to be genotyped by HapMap collaborators along with their flank-neighbor SNPs in dbSNP. See Docs section of DCC website for details on how the SNPs were selected and descriptions of the various categories. In addition, the QC-files are a set of 1500 SNP selected at random for use in quality control efforts, plus their flank-neighbors. The 1500 will be genotyped by all genotyping groups. The XML-documents conform to the HapMap schema, as referred to in the root-level XML element in each file. See Docs section of website for more information on the XML schema. The following table lists SNP counts per chromosome in this dataset: Chromosome 1 201,089 Chromosome 2 163,741 Chromosome 3 126,715 Chromosome 4 125,069 Chromosome 5 146,423 Chromosome 6 145,078 Chromosome 7 133,240 Chromosome 8 100,340 Chromosome 9 94,523 Chromosome 10 107,070 Chromosome 11 111,642 Chromosome 12 91,775 Chromosome 13 81,239 Chromosome 14 70,862 Chromosome 15 59,107 Chromosome 16 57,751 Chromosome 17 50,464 Chromosome 18 58,296 Chromosome 19 42,102 Chromosome 20 52,320 Chromosome 21 52,196 Chromosome 22 42,932 Chromosome Y 9,729 Chromosome X 56,079 -------------------------- TOTAL 2,179,782 -------------------------------- info@hapmap.cshl.org
